Seagrave continues to make excellent progress on the tower. Both sides of the body have been installed, the roll up doors and many other items. Compartmentation on the transverse compartment has been completed.
The Apparatus Committee will travel to Wisconsin February 6 to 10 to do a final inspection, and spend a day or so mounting tools and equipment.
Seagrave will drive the tower back to Fesco Emergency Sales Elkridge Maryland for a PM and then add the graphics. Seeing the new tower by the end of February. (Mark Featherstone)

Saturday was an eventful day for the crew of 618 with requests for the fire truck to attend 2 birthday parties, crew training, cleaning the station and trucks, a dinner feast created by one of the administrative members and running 5 calls. All of this was a great opportunity to introduce our new recruits to the additional responsibilities of helping the public beyond just handling the emergency calls.

At approximately 0454, a full box assignment was dispatched for a structure fire at the Dulles Town Center Mall. The first arriving crews were informed by security that there was heavy smoke coming from one of the food establishments in the food court. E618 made entry and proceeded to extinguish the fire. T611 and E611 worked to secure the sprinkler system as well as opened a few ceiling doors and checked the HVAC system.
Thanks to the outstanding volunteer and career personnel operating on the scene the food court, with the exception of Chick-Fil-A was open in time for lunch.
