Crew 5 began a 24 hour shift at 0700 on Saturday, 12 May. During the next 16 hours the crews from E611, E618, and TL611 would answer 17 calls for help from the public. These calls included medical emergencies, fire alarms, auto accidents, elevator entrapments, and a reported structure fire. (Thanks to those who came from home to staff Q618.) Crews also found time for training and a nice meal prepared by the men and women at fire station 11. The rest of the night passed quietly for the people of Sterling and the members of Crew 5.
