At approximately 5:30am, Monday, July 2, Engine 618 was dispatched to Leesburg for a structure fire. This was the second of 2 working fires to strike Leesburg in about 30 minutes.
Engine 618 joined the attack taking place on side-Charlie. Deputy Chief David Short, acting in his role as Loudoun County Battalion Chief, had command of the fire which consisted of units from Leesburg, Purcellville, Hamilton, Lucketts, Ashburn, and Frederick MD.
